The Material
Why Himalayan Cashmere
At 4,000 metres, the air thins and the cold deepens. To survive, the Changthangi goat grows a second coat — an underdown so fine, so insulative, that no machine has ever replicated it.
Each spring, when the goats naturally shed, herders hand-comb the precious fibres. One goat yields only 150 grams per year — barely enough for a single scarf. This scarcity is not a limitation. It is the foundation of everything we make.
